The Fora da Caixa Meetings began almost two years ago and are a major initiative for regional economies.

The entrepreneurial competitiveness in the economic development opportunities of the Interior was one of the topics under discussion at a meeting promoted by Caixa Geral de Depósitos at the Guarda Municipal Theatre on December 17.

At the invitation of the Caixa administration, the General Manager of SODECIA Powertrain Guarda, Gabriel Alves, participated in the debate on the challenges and opportunities of interiority.

Gabriel Alves point the need to attract and recruit qualified resources in the region in terms of engineering, mechanics, automation and robotics. He also point that one of the greatest challenges is the training of qualified people. To respond to this challenge, SODECIA Powertrain Guarda, the Guarda Municipal Council, the Polytechnic Institute and other 3 companies in the automotive sector signed a protocol that provides for the creation of a Technological Center for the Automotive Industry in the city of Guarda.
