HORMIGOBOTS
SODECIA AUTOMOTIVE VALENCIA SL, is focused on the development of an R&D project aimed at “Research and development of solutions based on biomimetics for the generation of flexible production environments adapted to the manufacture of short series with uncertain volumes of electric, plug-in hybrid and hydrogen-powered vehicles” with acronym HORMIGOBOTS which aims to research and develop new intelligent and flexible production environments for the manufacture of components and systems for electric vehicles, through the use of autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) and collaborative robots that mimic the social behaviour of ants, Virtual and Augmented Reality Systems for the decentralisation of factory management, continuous monitoring based on Artificial Vision to improve the safety, efficiency and quality (and, therefore, sustainability) of production environments.
This project is being undertaken with funding from the Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI), and support from the Ministry of Science and Innovation financed by the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism.
FINAL PROJECT NOTICE
The company has completed the HORMIGOBOTS project: “Research and development of solutions based on biomimetics for the generation of flexible production environments adapted to the manufacture of short series with uncertain volumes of electric, plug-in hybrid and hydrogen-powered vehicles”, financed by the Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI) within the Sustainable Automotive Technology Programme (PTAS).
HORMIGOBOTS started in 2021, with the aim of researching and developing new intelligent and flexible production environments for the manufacture of components and systems for electric vehicles, through the use of autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) and collaborative robots that mimic the social behaviour of ants, Virtual and Augmented Reality Systems for the decentralisation of factory management, continuous monitoring based on Artificial Vision for the improvement of safety, efficiency and quality (and, therefore, sustainability) of production environments.
A consortium of companies led by Moontech Industrial Solutions, S.L. and with the participation of the following partners: Augented Reality Software, S.L., Celulosa Fabril, S.A., Itera Soluciones de Ingeniería, S.L., Multiverse Computing, S.L., Robert Bosch España Fábrica Madrid, S.A. and Sodecia Automotive Valencia, S.L., has been involved during the 3 years of the project.
HORMIGOBOTS has concluded satisfactorily, fulfilling the objectives initially set and whose consequence has been the improvement of the safety, efficiency and quality of the automotive component factories involved in the project, contributing to the generation of safe, efficient factories with low levels of defective parts, which is synonymous with sustainable factories.
